All of our Nama Studio prints are designed to be personalised for you or a loved one.
See below for a detailed explanation of how our customisations work.
ARTWORK
All artworks are sized proportionally to your selected print size. Simply select your chosen artwork on the shop page and you will be taken to the next set of options.
SIZE
From the dropdown menu, you can select your size – either A4 or A3. The size refers to the page of the print, not the printed area itself and the dimensions are as follows: A4 is 297mm x 210mm & A3 is 420mm x 297mm. Please note the size selection will also affect the item price.
NAME/HEADING
Your print customisation starts with the name choice, which is displayed as the main heading on your print. You may select which heading font you would like – either all capital serif, all lower case serif or sentence case handwritten. All headings are a set size proportional to your print size chosen.
Next, type in the name or heading of your choice – you may choose up to two names. We recommend using either a first name or a first name and middle name together. Alternatively, the heading chosen may also be something other than a name – i.e. mum, sister, my love, etc.
Lastly, make sure you also include any punctuation you may wish to use when typing in your name or heading – i.e. hyphens or full stops.
SUBTITLE
Choosing to add a subtitle is optional. The subtitle is in the same font and size as the text below, just spaced out between the heading and text to be a highlighted detail. Some ideas for subtitles include birthdays, birth details, relations etc.
Make sure to type the text exactly as you want it to appear on the print – for example a birth date as 18.05.21 or 18th March, 2021.
TEXT
The text is an area where you can customise the content as much or as little as you like. However, the font and size of the text is set based on the print size chosen.
Option one – you can leave this section entirely up to us. We will research the name(s) given and write a description detailing the origins/meanings of the name(s) and how they translate to potential characteristics/meanings of the person the print is for.
Option two – you may write this area completely yourself in the text box provided. You may choose to write a personal message to someone or you may just wish to write the origins/meanings/characteristics yourself if you would like to have complete control over them.
Option three – you may like to choose a collaborative approach. In this case, we will still research the name(s) and write the text detailing the origins/meanings/characteristics. However, you may include notes in the text box for anything you specifically would like to included or excluded. If you wish, you may also include any message(s) you would like us to incorporate.
Please note: if you choose option one, you are giving permission for us to write the information as we see best fit, prints can not be redone or returned if this does not fit your expectations. Choosing option three is a good idea to give us more guidance and we will do our best to follow any notes provided. However, as there is a still an area of interpretation, please note that these prints are still not able to be redone or returned if this does not fit your expectations. If you are worried or concerned about the text being written, we recommend choosing option two so that you know exactly what you’re getting.
TEXT PRONOUN
For the text section, please also select one of the pronoun options form the menu. This will be used in writing and describing the meanings/characteristics of the person the print is for.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE
The layout of your print is not customisable, we will space your chosen artwork, headings, and text in the Nama Studio style. You can see examples of our layout aesthetic throughout our existing product images.
Your print will also include a small, neutral coloured Nama Studio logo towards the bottom of the page. This cannot be customised and can again be seen throughout our product photos.
Your print will be professionally printed on beautiful 220gsm art paper. Whilst the artworks are original paintings, the print you receive is a printed copy with your customised details added.
